The Council meets at least 4 times per year.

Membership of PCI is in a number of forms and these include:

• Representatives from organisations that are disability specific but multi sport:

Irish Blind Sports
Irish Wheelchair Association - Sport

• Representatives from organisations that are mainstream sport specific but include multi disabilities:

Cycling Ireland
Horse Sport Ireland
Irish Sailing Association
Shooting Sports Association of Ireland
Tennis Ireland
Irish Amateur Rowing Union

• Representatives from Paralympic Sports on the current Paralympic Games programmes that are practiced in Ireland but are governed by one or more of the disability specific organisations mentioned above:

Boccia
Football 7-A-Side
Swimming (Paralympic Swim Ireland)
Table Tennis
Wheelchair Basketball
Wheelchair Rugby

Note: Paralympic Athletics Ireland and Paralympic Swim Ireland are policy forming groups set up by the PCI consisting of representatives from all three disability specific multi sport organisations.

Board of Directors

The Board of Directors are responsible for operational day to day management of the organisation and are mostly elected for a four year term in the year following each Paralympic Summer Games. The current members of the Board are:
